Are all IPS monitors terrible with black screens? Or is it just my Dell?

Hi guys.

About a week ago, Dell was selling refurbished versions of their 2311H IPS monitor for as little as $140 on their Outlet webpage. Needless to say, I purchased one.
However, I am encountering a pretty big problem: Black screens simply look like crap.

On the lower right hand side of the monitor, one can easily see a burst of light that changes in intensity when I alter my viewing angle.

Thinking I simply got a lemon, I exchanged this monitor out for a new one.
Unfortunately, the replacement suffers from the exact same problem. For whatever reason, the lower right hand corner of the screen seems to exhibit an overabundance of light.

(FYI: I have also noticed that there appears to be a slight magenta hue toward some of the black areas if my viewing angle significantly changes.)
---------------

What's going on here guys? :(
Could this actually be a disadvantage to IPS screens? Or am I just unlucky?

I also purchased the Dell U2311H monitor when it was on sale last week. I do see a problem near the top right when the monitor goes to black, but keep in mind that these monitors are refurbished so they've been used.

I have the Dell 2212HM, around six months old. When I look at a black screen, it's black. I don't spend a lot of time looking at black screens though.

Call Dell, describe the problem, and nicely ask them if they can fix it.

I bought a pair of Dell U2412M's a couple months ago, and if I view them at an almost ridiculous angle, the lower right corners do seem a bit brighter, but at any viewing angle I'll ever use, black is just that.

I guess I'm going for number three...

It appears this *isn't* normal.
