Like an idiot, i didn't realize that i had a whole bunch of photos selected when i was making edits to a specific photo...it FUBAR'd all the previous edits I'd made to the other photos...is there an easy way to undo that?

on the downside, LR had frozen up and i had to kill the app and restart, so the Edit > Undo option isn't available.

do i have to go into all of the photos and undo via history? what's my best bet?

I just tried it... looks like development settings can only be changed on one photo at a time, but you can do a mass "reset all" on multiple photos. Maybe Victoria Brampton can help out? She's on this forum.

On LR3, in spite of the fact that you might have several photos currently selected (for example, three random photos selected), the Reset All seems to work only on the first of the selected photos.
And doing Reset All to #1, and then Sync to #2 and #3 does not reset #2 and #3, it merely copies the parameters of #1.

I you select all the photos, in the Develop module if you press Ctl/Cmd the Sync button will change to Auto Sync. Click it to activate this. Then, you can click Reset to reset all images or you can change one of the develop settings and it will apply to all pics.

You will have more luck finding her on the forum for which she is the administrator:

I remember a similar case for which she had a solution, so I wouldn't do anything without checking in there first.

I found the thread I was thinking about, but my memory was faulty. It was not Victoria who had the best solution, but rather TNG:

So, if my suggested use of the Alt Sync button is not a good approach for this, maybe I'm not clear of the problem?
