5D Mark II - Error 70

Today I connected my Canon 5D Mark II to my PC in order to use it as a webcam - something I've done before without any trouble.

But this time a weird thing happened - as soon as I turned the Live View on, the screen went black and an error message appeared - "Error 70". After that the camera remained unusable - I tried to remove the battery, changing the CF card, but nothing else happened - the error message just won't go away. The camera is now out of warranty, so if there is a way to fix it myself, instead of bringing it to be repaired, it would be perfect

Any ideas how can this be fixed ?

P.S.: Right now my camera is turned off, CF card removed, connected to the PC (Windows XP) and it can be found, but the EOS Utility crashes if I try to click any option. If I insert a CF card, the camera disappears from "connected devices".

It would appear to have something to do with memory cards. The poster in the other thread ended up sending it to Canon.

Well, I ended up sending it to Canon too. Turned out there was an unscrewed screw that fell off and blew the mainboard - the digital and the analogue part of the camera had no connection to each other. The guy said that it was a common Canon 5D and 7D problem, but it depends where would the screw fall. Best case scenario - blown up power supply, which would cost $200. My problem costed me about $1,000.

Anyway, I hope I help anyone who has the same problem (hope not).
