I was very impressed by Coppermine, it has a nice lay out and all looks really good, but there is no version for Mac.
Can anyone help me if you are mac user, what Webgallery do you use to display your pictures?
Thank you;)

Depends on how involved you want to get. We use Gallery (gallery.sourceforge.net) though free it does take some server set up. There's a version 1.x and 2.x; the 1.x does not require a database the other does. I guess an advantage of 2.x is it is faster if you have lots of photos. Example at sierramountaincenter.com (pull down the gallery)

I use iPhoto which allows me to easily upload my photos to my .mac homepage.

I'm not sure what you are asking about. From what I can see Cooppermine is a webserver application, just like some forum appls are. Is this what you are asking about or is there a client piece that gets installed on the PC that you are asking about?

I thought Coppermine should work on any server that allows you to create a database? Because PHP is platform independend?

Anyway, I use a script from Peter Krebs that doesn't ask for a database and is not very hard to install: http://phpmygallery.kapierich.net/en/ (external link)
Looks a bit rough, but with a little tweeking I could blend it into my website perfectly.

Yes, that is correct. The OP should have no problems installing Coopermine on a Mac running OSX as long as he's got the other prereq programs. That's the reason I didn't understand what he as asking about.

Ok, maybe I did not express myself very well, or maybe I just misunderstood something along the way.
I stumble upon a website from a member here and I really liked it:
http://www.dvattika.com/coppermine/index.php (external link)
that's how I got to know Coppermine.
Going on their website I kind of understood you had to DL solmething and it was Windows only. hence my search for something similair that would work for a Mac.
Although now, reading your answers and going back to Coppermine I realize i could use it if I was really good at understanding: Web Server + PHP + MySQL + IM/GD = CPG!
iPhoto is nice but too simple for what I want.
