Yosemite: Mammoth Peak Reflections

Found a seasonal pond a few yards from the Tioga Pass entrance gate. The lighting wasn't the best, but that's what I had.

Early season in the Meadows can be interesting if you have the time to explore where some of these pools form. There were a couple of big ones up near the river, but I was pressed for time so didn't wander around. By the time I get back up there they will probably be all dried up.

Did you notice all those trees which had apparently blown down in the area near where you took this?

I spent my late afternoon/evening in Tuolumne Meadows, by the river.

I didn't noticed any new trees blown down by the Tioga Pass "hut".

Like them both, Mike. We haven't been up this year....first time in a long time we've missed a winter or spring visit. But we traveled to South Dakota & Montana this last month and loved seeing parts of the country we haven't seen before.

I feel the B&W holds a little more impact than the color due to the contrast.
