Now see what you been missing. The stars will always be there, but beasts are just here for a moment. You haven't forgotten anything, very nice capture. What telescope did you get?

Hey Alan, I wondered what had happened to you! Can you actually see stars at the mo' with the great weather you're having (or are you spying on your neighbours :p)?

Nice to see you haven't lost your touch!

thanks for the link JR#8......... lotta good info on that site........... i see you've got a 10 inch lsx200 ........ooooooohhhhhh (my little scope pales in comparison to one of those babies)............. so far i've got some great shots of the moon (easy to expose those) most of my attempts at the other planets (jupiter, saturn, mars) have been pretty rubbish , but i'm getting there :)... also trying to learn registax and working my way thru starry night pro...... just so much new info to take in.. but i'm really enjoying my new hobby (I have wanted a decent telescope since i was a kid, and didn't want to spend massive amounts of money (like you had to for yours ;) )....so the etx 90 seemed like a good compromise... its a nice little scope for the money) The meade lunar/planetary imager is on my xmasw list too :)

so the etx 90 seemed like a good compromise

the 90 is a great scope. Ive looked thru plenty of them at star parties. I got the 10" because it was the one I wanted. Astrophotography is way harder. The LPI is cool too but there again practice.
