Had a chance to shoot my friends wedding, was hesitant at first but had a fun time doing it (minus the 95 degree heat). Robert and Joanie got married on 5.26.2012 on a horse farm out in Shelbyville KY. The heat didnt allow us to venture out too much so we were stuck inside.

So a note to myself in case I do this again. rent a lens with more reach (70-200 f2.8 would be nice for ceremonies), get a second camera body (something full frame, my 7D with a 50mm is just too close for a lot of shots), wear more comfortable shoes, keep camera gear out of pictures..., learn to pose the B&G (got a lot of shots that would have been nice but turned out unflattering due to double chins and the like), and finally...RELAX! With that being said, here are some shots.

These are great for your first wedding! It seems that you learned a lot from it. The 70-200 is a staple for me during ceremonies!
You did very well not forgetting the details however, the cupcake shot is a tad boring to me compared to the rest.
#3 is my favorite. Keep it up!

Almost every shot with a person in them has someone with their eyes closed. You have presented two shots with the groom's face here and in both his eyes are closed.

Ah, nice catch...I have more with their eyes open but everyone is squinting from the sun :( Thruthfully though,I didn't even realize that all I posted were eyes shut...sorry!

I think you did a great job. I do feel like some of the shots need a WB tweak, like the first set feels a bit on the magenta side to me and the groom in the mirror is a bit green/blue. I LOVE the ring shot on the piano, that's very nice. Your B&W's are a little flat, and could use some contrast. But this is a very solid job.

I am super cool n' stuff.

Ditto. Reading OP's reply, this appears to be a mistake, which is fine, though some photogs do this on purpose. Personally, I find the current fetish for 'eyes closed' shots at weddings unattractive.

I hate being bipolar. It's great.

For these I used a LR preset. Don't recall which one though.
