I have a cheapo Energizer headlamp, don't know the model #. It has 3 different modes: regular white light, energy save mode and night mode. It's great except that I have to toggle through all the modes to turn it off. The last time I used it I had to go from night mode in the darkness to the 2 other modes before I can turn it off. Is there a headlamp out there where I don't have to toggle through all the modes to turn it off? Especially while in night mode. Thanks guys!

Ha ha, yea maybe, but see thats where that red light is nice in that headlamp. It low light, less annoying but you can still see with it. If there were a way to switch to what mode you want directly instead of cycling through it would be much nicer.

That's exactly what I'm looking for :D Lucky when I first turned it off no one else was around, just my friend and I. Later that night I had to cup the headlamp with my hand to turn it off so it wouldn't ruin the other guys shots :o

Or they just know theyre cameras. Ive never used a light before when night/dark shooting, I use the headlamp for working on stuff around the house when I need it.

Just head down to your local sporting store they should have a good selection. I have a flashlight app on my phone that works good, it uses the screen and you can adjust the brightness.

Thanks LittleJon Dsgn! I have a flashlight app but sometimes I need both hands free. Does your app have a night mode? Mind doesn't :(

By night mode do you mean a red light instead of white? Mine only does white light, but I have seen color light apps just no need, well maybe I should download one to try. I am able to get it dimmed real low. I also take the challenge of shooting at night to learn my camera better and try not to use any lights.

Yes, red light. The app I have also dims pretty low. I'm going to have to learn the controls on my camera so I don't have to rely on a headlamp but it's nice to still have one. In case I need something from my bag or for walking around in the dark...
