Do you leave the Canon FA-DC58B adapter tupe on full time? When used with a circular polarizer do you have to reposition the polarizer every time you zoom (in or out)? Thanks.

I don't have that adapter, but I understand that it is spring loaded and moves in and out with the lens.. I would leave it on all the time unless I needed the more compact size without it..

You do not need to reposition a polarizer unless it rotates... the G11/12 lens does not rotate.

.... Got some cameras; got some glass ..... I just need one more of each.....

LarryD, Thank you for the reply. defante confirmed that it does not rotate. I appreciate both of you taking time to answer.

Sorry, I missed this. I asked a similar question a short time ago and one response indicated that the user left the adapter on full time. I intend to do this also. As other have already said, the adapter doesn't rotate so doesn't affect the polariser.

Leave mine on full time. Makes handling/holding much easier.
