I'd love to get your feedback on this photo I took today of my dog, Jackson. Taken on a 40D with a 28-135mm lens, while we were out running around playing today.

Great job stopping the action. The focus appears to be right on the nose and tongue, but I can see how it would be very tough to focus on the eyes with him running toward you. I like that the background is out of focus. My suggestion is to crop a little tighter, flipping to portrait rather than landscape to remove distracting elements at the left.

Great shot of the dog! The background is a little cluttered with the buildings and what looks like a person over the dogs shoulder.

Love the action.

Thanks for the suggestions! How is this? And yes, I did struggle to keep the focus on him as he was really moving! I'll try to hit the eyes next time!

Is it just me or does the dog look like its riding an invisible bicycle? Great photo! Really like the re-cropped version.
