Been going through my photos from Formula Drift Palm Beach and found some ones from practice that I liked so figured I'd share them. I think actually like FD practice more than the events, no games played and most drifters seemed to go harder which made for some great photos and viewing.

1. Not even really in focus, but I still like this one. Gives you a sense of the action.

Love the last one. Most likely due to the paint job on the car.

3, 4, and the last one are really good (although I wish Vaughn was making some smoke in that one). I'm not a big fan of barriers and big orange barrels in the way, but what can you do when they are all over the place. So glad I live near Road Atlanta (best place for photos in my opinion).

Thank you! Larry Chen from Speedhunters did an article on some of the FD driver's helmets. Gittin's helmet is painted exactly like his car :)

Thanks! Yeah those barrels and barriers were a major pain especially since they were everywhere! I have quite a few photos where the car is perfectly focused and sharp and there's this stupid barrel right in the middle :(

Thank you! Panning is definitely still a learning experience for me, but I've been pretty happy with my results so far :)

Last one is really nice. Many of them are of equal quality but feel like some need to have a car filling the frame a bit more to really highlight the car. Sharp and nice though!

These images are brilliant. I love shooting car and drifting. Care to share you settings used for this set? Whenever I go to slow I find the car oof to often. You subject is crisp as hell though.

Thank you! I definitely need to work on when to crop, and not just show where the car is going ( if that makes sense hahaha).

Haha yeah I seem to get my best pans around 1/30-1/50. I'm still mind blown when people are able to pan at 1/125 and above and still get really blurred backgrounds. Mine usually don't have much blurring at 1/100-1/125.
