I'm heading to France and want to take my Powershot S90. I have an adapter for the European outlets, but do I also need a converter to step the 220 down to 110? Is there a good source for these?

Thank you.

it's great about modern electronics, no need for a transformer.

check out the label on the charger.

Well, you cant be too sure... If the labels says 110v, I wouldnt connect it to a 220 source.

I haven't yet seen a Canon charger that wasn't capable of operating on 110 or 240 V. Any device that says "100-240V 50-60 Hz" will do fine anywhere in the world there's mains power.

The vast majority of chargers and electronic equipment these days will work of whichever system is available. All that is generally required is an adaptor for socket type.
