Hehe, I tried solar astrophotography for the first time last saturday, talk about late haha, and it was harder than I thought it would be, especially the focusing part, a lot less contrasty than say, shooting the Moon, or Jupiter/Saturn/Mars. that was really fun :D

Nothing about astrophotography is easy. Any kind of astrophotography. But it IS fun! :)

You should blow this puppy up and sell posters. That is one sweet photo, I'm sure a lot of nerds such as myself would enjoy hanging that on their wall. Pardon my ignorance, but is "Colorado" thing you used to shoot this referring to some type of filter?

Awesome shot!!!

Isn't the atmospheric pressure on Venus something like 8,000 PSI and highly acidic?

Jon.

Correct. It was a mistake, and I have edited and corrected my original post to prevent any confusion. :)

Thank you! And yes, the conditions on Venus are pretty hostile. :)

I'm happy to print one up for anyone interested. I can print up to 17" wide, anything larger gets sent out to a lab.

For anyone interested - please contact me to discuss your print size requirements and to arrange payment.

If you'd prefer a standard mini-poster size print, please contact me to express your interest. Price will depend on the number of prints required, so don't be shy. The more people that want one, the cheaper they will be. Once I have some idea of the numbers required, I will get back to you with the price.
