I just bought an RRS L bracket for my Canon 5D Mark 2. I do not use a battery grip. Just the 5D Mark 2 on it's own.

I want to buy a hand strap for the camera and I want to be able to keep the L bracket on the camera with the strap. Is that possible? If so can you recommend a nice hand strap? Also....will I have to remove the hand strap if I want to place the camera on my tripod?

Thank you.

Please proceed, Governor.

I have used the Canon hand strap to do just that.

Don't see why not - L-Bracket goes on the left side. Hand straps go on the right side.

Bracket has a slot on the right underside for the strap. I use Markins all leather straps (external link). Very comforatble and molds to your hand.

That looks gorgeous. Can you use the remote switch while the strap is on and also on the tripod?

The strap goes on the right side of the camera, it's not blocking anything, even though it passes over the battery door.

I use a black/red herringbone strap:https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=904543

These straps have been on the camera continuously for two years, through the sweat of Peru and the Galapagos, and the Costa Rican rain forests. Still going very strong. They are very comfortable.
