haha i was referring to sticking it into my girlfriends handbag. she's not too pleased at first, but quickly forgets its even in there. i take my dslr many more places now thanks to not having to drag around a camera sling.

Oh sorry. I quickly read your post and assumed you were a woman. lol But yea, it's a great set-up for guys with girlfriends! :D

just shot some sample video on my 60D using the Hotcake ~ I switched it to manual focus and 'cool!' - its really easy adjusting focus with your free fingers...

I suppose if you are in a loud atmosphere like an event - then using AF is fine, as you would not hear the focus mechanism - but of course if you suddenly point to something at a different distance - then expect AF to hunt until focus locks on...

But with MF - you can put your LCD on 5X (or 10X) and make finger adjustments as needed without the noise - and hopefully without surprise focus hunts

Sorry if the above is obvious to most - my main point was that its easy to MF using your free finger during video...

Can any lens owner please test this at night? I am seeing horrible ghosting with this lens (Rebel t2i), and can't find any other reports of this online. If it's just my unit, I'll take it back to B&H asap...
Thanks.

Do you have a UV filter on that lens or any other type of filter? If so, take it off...

Is this lens suitable for a FF (5D3)?
I've read contradicting reports, one says crop only....??...

It's an EF lens, which means it should fit on all EOS mounts. I can confirm it fits on a 5D3 because it fits on mine.

Just got mine for about $185 USD equiv from my local guy. At that price I couldn't resist. Will contribute to the lens sample thread soon probably.

Yup, it's an EF lens (not EF-S)...tons of people using it on FF!

Heheh... Getting a 17-40L and a 40mm will complete my kit.

Looks like the ghosting is from a from a cheap filter or window.
