Hi
I think my sensor is stuffed.
Attached image shows what's happening.
Is there some sort of diagnostic software available where I can test this?

I am no expert but if that is SOOC then yes its gone to the great wild yonder :*( Sorry. Smelting metal may have caused it due to bright conditions plus being in a hot environment. Refractive Photos

joeseph "smells like turd" More info | Jun 07, 2012 04:11 | #9 about USD$300 for a sensor part, plus labour. Might be worth checking your insurance... some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

That stinks! I have been wanting to take some pictures during forging of some horse bits, I was going to wait until I could get some welding glass shades and make a holder for it. 7D, 70-200L 2.8 IS II, some rocks and hammers...

This doesn't look good, it looks similar to how some cameras develop a pink glow in one corner or another at very high ISOs. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery
