Hmmm. I was hoping for something more from this camera. I don't know what, but more. These lens do seem to indicated that a mirrorless is on the way. Same sensor it looks like?

Just curious but why are you disappointed when your sig shows two cameras that are, by most accounts, a level above where the T4i is targeted?

It's like driving down the road in a Mercedes and being upset that the guy in your mirrors is driving a Chevy...

I really don't understand this phenomenon but it happens with every release.

<shrug>

Yeah, I need to update it. All my equipment is gone. Starting from scratch. All this new tech in the pipe is confusing. All I do is read reviews and wait instead of taking pictures. :(
Money, specifically the lack thereof makes this decision hard and critical.

I agree that there is a lot of confusion - in where the features get placed in the product line.

"Stills" oriented are probably annoyed w/ all this video s.... stuff..

Mid level or budding video are wondering why the 5d3 doesn't have the improved live view AF (sound is off camera anyway w/ mid/higher level vids but having an option to "touch" an actor and have the camera competently? stay focused would be a nice option) focus pulling is not all that is cracked up to be and there is a lot of complexity w/ making sure the talent blocks exactly correct, etc, and in mid level/emerging vids talent is not always the right word to use :).

If you see me with a wrench - call 911. 5d3, T3i, 17-55 2.8, 50 1.8, 70-200 2.8 L II, 24-105 f4. YN 565, Precision Lupe attached to hacked extended eyecup (no sticky frame) - old enough to have owned an original F-1
