I'm in the NWT and I've only seen red foxes before. Although today I saw this guy, is it a cross between two different types or just a different colored red fox?

Cross fox is a genetically a red fox but carries a modified melanin gene that produces this coloration. It will be like that year round minus some shade changes from winter coat to summer.
