Hello,
I have -
AE1 Program from back in the day.
Old analog 1997 JVC Camcorder.
G6 Digital Camera 7,1 MP

I use the Studio Pinnacle 15 to make DVD's of family memories, for me and family, not professionally, yet after viewing the output of analog videos, I think it's time to make the upgrade to HD to watch the better HD quality.

Cameras and Camcorders ~

I bought the G6 about four or five years ago when they came out, because I was impressed with the new pixel technology of having over seven million pixels (7.1mp) for better/higher resolution to help compliment my landscape, sunset, or portrait photos.

WOW! Today's 18+ mega pixel cameras are unbelievable.....and I'm NOT talking about the Hasselblad's 200-megapixel camera, for the modest price of $45,000....NOT!

Instead of buying both...well let's say the last years Panasonic Full 1080P HDC-TM900 Camcorder, and the EOS Rebel T3i, with the additional not so cheap telephoto lenses, some just told me to save my money and buy only the T3i, becuz that camera has 1920x1080 Video / 18MP Photo. Everything I would like.

I like taking both video and photos. Just becuz I spend 800.00 for the T3i (it was $1200.00 last year) the more money you spend, does not mean it's the best camera....right?

In your experience can anyone tell me if the T3i, T3, much better cameras than the 'D' series? if so, they are way out of my price range, and do most only use one cameras for both video and photography?

Thank you for any help! Jim :D

not sure what you're asking here. All the cameras have a D for digital designation. Do you mean 60D or 7D ?
