I`ve not posted any of these on POTN before. Last December I had to go to Vancouver for work and was stuck there the last weekend before Christmas so I brought my camera so the weekend wouldn`t be a total lost.

These were all taken in and around Lost Lagoon in the park with the Canon 7D and Sigma 50-500mm handheld. There were heavy overcaste skies at the time.

You did very well in the dreary overcast skies of the Pacific Northwest! The Fox Sparrow is my favorite, that is their habitat and I like the nice natural looking colors!:)

These are great Stephen, I would love to have any one of these in front of my camera for a photo shoot.

theyre all very nice. I like the Towhee best.
were you sitting still and waiting for them, in a blind, or walking around?
It looks like you got pretty close.

Super job on all of these, Stephen. Especially considering being hand held at those low shutter speeds. It's difficult to pick a favourite here, but for me the Junco barely slips past the others into first place. :)

Excellent set Stephen, I'm with Harv on the Junco, it's a great shot of a pretty little western bird.

These are great, Stephen, especially considering the conditions in which you took them. The Junco is my favourite. Love the Autumn setting in that one.

Nice shots, Stephen; the fox sparrow seems a much darker race than what passes through my neck of the woods.

Well done series as usual Stephen. The Fox Sparrow is a very good looking creature and Oregon Junco is the prize of the four. Very well done.
