They will be 'old' when I buy my 5D3 next March. I'll still use them anyway. In 2017 my 5D3 will be old technology. Speaking of old, my Yashica FX-2 was made in 1976. Anyone think their current DSLR will still be working as designed in 2048? Old does NOT mean, bad or inadequate. It just means manufactured a long time ago. Heck, I was made in 1957 and I am still working as designed, for the most g that could happen is I'd end up with the 3T. All true I have no way of knowing if your '57 build is really still in good shape. I'll take your word for it.

I actually slightly dread getting fresh off the factory line because then your in the front lines of digital warfare that fixes all the kinks and errors for people like me that wait for some reviews and revisions. You'll enjoy whatever rebel you get though, they're a great body. Adam - Upstate NY:

T2i was a leap too with its hdslr capabilities. But the T4i is quite the something else from previous Rebel cameras. Vancouver Portrait Photographer

The T4i even uses the same batteries and grip as the 550D so there's a bonus too. Neither of us has done any video to speak of so it might be time to find out if it's worth the hype. As the release date for the T4i has been announced as the 15th June you shouldn't have too long to wait for your new camera.
