bikerider Goldmember 3,909 posts Likes: 1 Joined Apr 2004 Location: Woy Woy, NSW, Australia More info | I like your image, for me the interest is in contrast between the light and dark areas and also the uneven lines of the rose petals, a very calm image. I have seen some very fine shots of combined images years ago, where one shot is sharp and the other just slightly off focus. The result was very similar to diffuse glow in PS, a good tecnique to boost contrast. Eos 6D Mk1, 300D & G7x modified for Infrared, 17-40f4L, 70-200f4L, 100-400 f5.6 ISL, 15mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4, various Lensbaby lenses, a few tripods, flash, GoPro 7 black.

From what I experienced, no PS technique can match the "real thing", the real out of focus picture that is. On the other hand, maybe I'm not that familiar with PS after all Best wishes,

I already explained that the only post processing involved was combining the two exposures into one file, much like the double exposure in the analog photography domain. Best wishes,
