Aperture 3.3 was announced today. It looks like they "improved" the highlights & shadows tool by removing some of the sliders. Fewer choices is better?

The really big change is that it requires Lion and will not be available for Snow Leopard. This means I have to upgrade my OS, never get another update, or go back to Lightroom. I don't like any of those choices.

Aperture certainly isn't the first program to require Lion to work, but it is the first one that I've cared about.

Apple need to make it a LOT more obvious that you need Lion, as it comes up as an update in the App Store for me with no reference to needing 10.7 and I'm still on Snow Leopard.

OK the update to Mountain Lion is very cheap, but I do agree with your point, as I don't want iOS on my desktop.
