Just published a review of this little-known sibling to the 600EX-RT. It's exactly the same speedlite but without a built-in radio transceiver.

You can't buy it in the USA and it's a little uncertain whether you will be able to get it in Britain, but it will be available in some other European countries.

I really don't see the point of this flash, minor improvements over the 580 for a massive hike in price.

Also seems odd they have no "receiver only" RT flash to replace the 430.

The point is for countries where Canon can't legally sell a radio device...

I do anticipate we will see a 430 replacement - I don't think previous generations were all announced at the same time - maybe a 440?

Ah, ok, I guess that makes sense, although the price hike for what are essentially cosmetic improvements still makes me

At first I didn't there is a such thing about 600ex model, I thought there is only 600ex-rt. I ordered three 600ex-rt's and they accidentally shipped me the 600ex model. I was able to return without any problem (Thanks Amazon).
