As you already have the 100mm go and find a local church and have a play and see how the focusing works. You could also take the 50mm and see how that is as well.
If they are good you can then save your money and one day get the 70-200, just an idea !!!

Remember a few things.

AF assist beams have a working range, typically only useful at closer distances.

AF works hard only when your pointing at something in low light. You may shoot from the back pews of a church in a dark and moody area, but the couple is upmfront in good light. That good light will help you focus.

I think this will be a learning experience, Vinz. I do not profess to be a pro, I only have about 10 weddings under my belt and all as 2nd/3rd shooter and I do grip work for a major studio in town here, however nothing beats in hand experience.

IMO, keep the macro for outdoor good light, work the 1.8 85 for what it's good for, moderate low light AF tracking.

Just my .02

Yes, many a gear acquisition in the 60D community is Vixens fault. IMO, ditch the 100 (your macro portfolio is already fantastic and can stand on its own, for now) and pick up the 85. Remember that you will be operating with a effective focal length of approx. 130ish mm. Prime target for about 15-25 ft.

here is a throw away (massive underexpose) that I saved from a shoot a few days ago. It was taken with 7D and 135L at approx. 35ft. Notice how much I got. She is about 3.5ft tall, maybe a little less. I know this is a different focal length, however if you use a lens conversion (I didn't bring my 5D with me) you would see that at 85mm on crop, you could have about a 3 person party in frame at that distance.

Not bad for shooting "wide" @85mm. YMMV, of course, but 85mm on crop does what people say, it does "act" like a 135mm on FF.

are your saying 85 is not a good FL for a crop?
