My opinion, great shot...Great PP...Horrible clothes. She needs less of them.

I'm working on it. ;)

Nice lighting & Beautiful model. Perhaps the clenched fist & (minute scowl?) on her face are not for everyone. I'd love to see her smiling and comfortable, with maybe less eye make-up, wearing whatever clothes. Nice work though - hope you two get together again.

my fave shots are always of beautiful women smiling. That is merely my own taste and likely in a minority

She is not a smiler, or at least I cant get her to smile. I have some more from this set where she is attempting to smile; I will post up the results.

Its a fantastic focal length on a Crop or FF IMO.

it is indeed but I think it has to do a lot with the photographer style.

i do all my modeling work with the 85mm

One of the reason i bought the 85. I have upcoming girls who wants to have a portfolio. It' going to be awesome. And they said they're open for any ideas so its gonna be fun.

I'm so excited i made it one day shipping. It's coming tomorrow. Bought fotodiox lens hood with it for 5bucks.

I have to buy an ND filter for it to keep open wide even at daylight.

Shot my first event last night (will post pics later). I wasn't official media or anything, but I tried to snap a few shots. I used my 50, which was good for getting people on the stage because I couldn't get all the way up there, but it made it difficult taking group shots of people.

Since I'm new to photog I'm just trying my hand at everything, though I still enjoy portraiture the most. Gonna try to be official media at a hip hop producer showcase coming up in LA next month. Hopefully they'll accept me even though I don't really have a portfolio.

So I was wondering, for those of you who shoot at events/concerts, what do you usually shoot with?

Lots of Macro with Tubes and lenses on this thread - I asked a fellow on the 40 hotcake thread who uses the Zeikos Extension Tubes what he thinks of them and he wrote a review. 3 Zeikos Tubes = $70 @ B&H. Canon 25mm = $140, Kenko Tubes = $199

I think I found an inexpensive gift for myself when I'm done a current food/restaurant shoot...
