Ahh, I think what I enjoy most about primes is that you can shoot wide open and get some crazy bokeh. Of course when you want that sharpness to kick in gogo f/2! I haven't watched True Blood yet, all I've been using Netflix for is just anime and some American Dad. I'm boring I know. LOL

Well since I seem to have been ignored the first time, except by 1 reply that didn't really help much... Does anyone know what it would cost for Canon to replace the rubber grips on the 60D? Mine are coming up, and I wanna get it taken care of soon.

Well I don't think anyone is ignoring you, I didn't even get to read the last few pages which explain why I'm so erratic and only post randomly. I can never follow along the thread so here's what my searching got me.

Dr.D called Canon and this is what he got:

I called them and they sent me the rubber with tape for $35 and I wasn't out of commision for weeks.

Yeah, last person that replied simply said "Do a search, and fix the grips yourself" But that isn't what I asked... Also, I can't do it myself, because I want it to look good as new... Not worse then before I started LOL.

But thanks for the info anyway!

Well you can also just buy it and hand it over the camera store; or get a friend to do it. I know how you feel when it comes to doing DIY's on your own...it's either gonna look good or bad but I think with tape you can pull it back up before applying full pressure to completely seal it back on.

Here are some pictures from last night's event that I previously mentioned... Still have a lot to learn about flash and whatnot. It was a lot of fun though and I already learned so much because I screwed up so much. lol

All using my Canon 50 1.4

Fresh Prince, anyone?

I have no friends... :/ ...Locally :P lol. Everyone lives soo damn far away. Even the nearest camera shop is $20-30 in gas. Guess I am stuck with it for a while then. :(

save yourself the trouble and leave it

my 60'ds grip is peeling off and i could care less

if the lens mount was falling off then i would be worried

Nice lighting & Beautiful model. Perhaps the clenched fist & (minute scowl?) on her face are not for everyone. I'd love to see her smiling and comfortable, with maybe less eye make-up, wearing whatever clothes. Nice work though - hope you two get together again.

my fave shots are always of beautiful women smiling. That is merely my own taste and likely in a minority

Got a smile:

LOL day off from work? Go do some shooting or watch some Netflix, it's what I do. Alex is right though it's hard to find a accurate focusing Sigma lens. I think you should still add the Tamron 17-50 non VC to your collection it's about $350 new?

Just realized it but Alex your username says MK3...5D III IS CALLING YER NAME!!

Thats funny, I didnt think about that. the mk3 on my user name stands for the generation of my car. I have used the same user name for several forums since I was 16.

here is le ride...which happens to be my first car too. hard to believe i had the same car for 8 years. sadly its in pieces now actually since I got a new car and this turned into a project/weekend car. once its done it should look nice!
