Thanks a lot Vinz  *drool*

Wait, is that CA outlining the dog? Actually, it looks like it's outlining the leash too. Poor upload quality or something?

that's a really quick snapshot at 1.8. I think it starts to blur in that area already.

I was walking around at almost 12noon and the sun was too harsh the CA was visible in some shots. Easily corrected in LR though. And also if you shoot with it seriously, you will do it at the right time of the day, not noontime. I was just so excited to test it.

edit: here's another edit. i think it was my fault.

some more test shots all at 1.8 - Autofocus is instant those bikers can't escape.

so, i need some lens advice. I love my 70-200, but I really want IS. and while I'm upgrading, I might as well get something a bit faster.

I don't quite have the funds, nor could I justify the cost of the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 II, but a used MK 1 is just within my budget. then, of course, there's the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 OS, which can be found for $300- $400 cheaper. and i'm pretty much stuck between these two...

I've got the sigma 17-50mm f/2.8, which I love, for the most part...but it backfocuses like crazy when wide open...and that's kinda left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to Sigma.

any advise? anyone with experience with either of these beasts on our fair 60D?

I like this group better then the first (for me). I now see why a lot of people talk this lens up.

My girlfriend found this beast on the patio just as I was leaving for work:

^^ I can't decide if that's ugly, or so ugly it's actually cute.

I was sitting in a park near some woods having lunch, and spotted these tiny little wildflowers. They're maybe an inch across, if that, so I pulled the 60mm Macro out of the truck for this shot:

Um, I forgot what I was going to say. Blame it on the al-al-al-al-al-alcohol!

Now I remember! The greyhound guy emailed me back again with the times & such that they are out teaching the community about greyhound adoptions & wants me to photograph them. Anyway, I realized I could use this for my journalism portfolio & as a starting link to the community (that I grew up in, silly I know).

I'm thinking that tomorrow I should go around & see how many free ice cream cones & things I can get - without having to buy anything like a main entree. Tehehe!
