Yeah I have a 22 inch asus monitor that I can hook it up to. I just figured I would get more use out of a laptop and when needed can hook it up to my monitor. I also have a self built PC desktop but I want something for when I travel that I can dump photos on to empty my cards. Also I seem to think that aperture would be a probem more suitable to my needs because I mainly adjust exposure/lighting type things and photoshop seems to be overkill for that.

I cant comment on the laptop, but I. Can say aperture is an awesome program withvl v3 being much better the 2 with plug-ins it can bee a massively powerful tool not quite lightroom 4 powerful but I love it am finding I am having a really hard time switching over to lightroom 4 after adding the Nik software line of plug-ins to aperture 3 id say definitely buy aperture 3 you wont regret it! Here is a free book that will be extremely helpful with your aperture journey.
