Thanks Russ,Will and Pauly. Here's another one for ya. Perfect sunset! This was not modified really. About the only thing done was desaturate the reds a bit and bump up the exposure. Other than that it was just the way the trees caught the sunset.

It's crazy how much you can learn from cropping your pictures... I took like 30 or so pictures of the sunset on campus & the cropping made them unbelievably dramatic. $$$$ lol

The same thing happened when I cropped pictures from a campus BBQ/cornhole get together. I figured out that it looks best to leave like a tiny gap of space between the edge of w/e part of someone is extending to the outside of the crop frame & then crop the bottom of the frame the same way (most of the time) & then play around with the top (subjective to the environment) (so is the bottom) (hmm yeah I guess the sides are too, but i had to crop down to the sides of people to get really nice clean images)

I can't even imagine needing any other tool except cropping at this rate LOL. Like I'm hella impressed with how good everything looks once it's cropped. It's ridiculous. I feel like I'm looking at a magazine or something.

Whatever LOL. I haven't had a legitimate point & shoot since the SD1000... & a Fuji E510 before that.. I loved that Fuji.

Never really needed to do much cropping with the DSLRs because you can actually use the viewfinder in bright sunlight vs looking at a screen, so it's a lot easier to get the intended shot from the start.

I wasn't shooting still life...... I was shooting a little outdoor bbq & cornhole get together, people are constantly moving in & out of the shots/moving in general.

This may sound odd, but I almost want to return the poor S100 & get another lens instead LOL

Andrew, would love to see some of these magazine worthy pictures. Post some before and after of your crops.
