Ok, I made a goofy watermark through Lightroom, don't take the size or anything seriously. You can take the name seriously though! This was shot with the S100 and is one of the junk pics.

Ugh.. the angle is off a bit.. I tried LOL. These were so hard to get straight because your eyes look at so many different lines & they didn't all match up from the start.

& of course there are other crops to be had, but this is the strongest crop.

Andrew, you JUST discovered the cropping tool...? -____- You really need to get off facebook, stop buying random stuff, and go shoot more. lol

So, with all this cropping going on, there's no need to buy FF, right?

any of you guys per-ordering the 6d? the more i read about it the more I wanna get it just waiting for the wife to approve :D

Damn dude! I know what that feels like unfortunately when I fell into a fire pit at the age of 17.

If you think the pain is hard to deal with, just wait until the ITCHING starts taking hold. 3rd degree burns itch like crazy once the skin starts to heal back up. I would have traded it for pain, no doubt... :(

On the other hand, the silver cream feels REALLY good when applied cold to the burn areas. :) Kept mine in the fridge.

Good luck on the recovery, Alex!

Hehehe. Speaking of which...

Anyone here have/had the 5Dc? I've been thinking about getting it at the end of the year and just slapping my 85 on it for good, and using it for portraits... Wanted to know if there are any thoughts on your experience with the camera, and especially the autofocus system (or lack thereof). I'm not good at focus/recompose, so I was just wondering how you dealt/are dealing with its limitations.

Figure I can get a 5Dc on the cheap for now just to have an extra camera and have that full frame/DOF goodness, or wait a couple years to get the 5D Mark III (Mark II is pretty much out of the question... I don't see it being worth it, but you could change my mind).

I can't comment on actually using the 5DC, but to be honest, the images I have seen from it just seem higher quality for portraits than the 5D2 and 3. The portrait colors are the best I have ever seen from any 35mm camera. If I was building a portrait only camera, that would be it. AF might be a pain, but that sensor just gets me hot in the trousers...

Oh, and the 5dC apparently doesn't have the same level of banding issues seen in the 5D2 and 3.

+1. The 5Dc is said to have a very film like look to the images and very accurate for skin tones and color.

I crop depending on the situation... for landscape/portraits when I have time to think/set up composition, I don't as much.

For random pictures at the zoo or of dogs playing, or of sports/certain events, I may find myself cropping. ;)

Hot in the trousers! :D lol. You and Mirco are really convincing, I may very well consider it. Lately I have been seeing people wanting to trade their 60D for the 5Dc... I wouldn't do that because I like live view, video, *the ability* to go to higher ISO, and of course the flippy screen, but I find it pretty interesting.

edit to add: but I suppose if I got the 5Dc and was limited to the center focus point... cropping may be in order? Or manual focus/installing a screen?

with portraits the incentive is that i get paid D= i really need to re-inspire and re-vitalize my passion for photography

No photography for me, for a while. They found another tear while digging around in my knee! Partial medial menisectomy and chondroplasty. They did give me Percocet, and i bought the new Bond 50, so I guess it's not all bad!
