I crop depending on the situation... for landscape/portraits when I have time to think/set up composition, I don't as much.

For random pictures at the zoo or of dogs playing, or of sports/certain events, I may find myself cropping. ;)

As I'm still learning to use my 60D, I am totally amazed at how much I can crop and still end up with a good picture.

Yeah.. I know a lot of people consider cropping cheating, but it's all about getting the shot before anything else. Shoot now, crop later. Of course it adds time to your routine vs getting it right in cam, but there's nothing wrong with that if you don't mind spending time doing it.

I do however strive to tweak the camera settings to help compose, since those things are a PITA to deal with after the fact.

_______________

I had fun shooting my first "event" it was a campus Rock Band tourney. I made some dumb mistakes with the settings.. I wanted to show someone how fast it could shoot continuously, so I bumped the image size all the way down & such..... well then I forgot to bump it up until I saw the info screen =X

& then I was walking past the campus bar, & the lcd screen on my flash was off, so i thought it was off......... yeah that wasn't good. i basically strobe lit the crap out of like 20 ppl sitting outside & it was on continuous shot so it was tons of flashes lmao

oh... & at one point i switched to MF & didn't realize it... yeah that wasn't good LOL.. silly tokina with their weird focus switch. i love using it, but not when i don't know it switched!

Time and time again I've switched a lens to manual when I store it and forget to switch to auto when I use it. A lot of the time I forget to take my lens cap off, too.

I'm getting better at it though :p

i always love how someone is there to tell you to take off your lens cap before you even have the chance to look through the viewfinder & realize it yourself. everyone becomes a camera genius out of nowhere LOL

They did give me Percocet, and i bought the new Bond 50, so I guess it's not all bad!

Percocet & Bond...

avoid Moore's Moonraker and Timithy Dalton's 2nd film and you'r good to go ;)

I thought Brosnan's last appearance was maybe his best - started by him getting tortured by scorpions... a prelude to the grittiness we would see in Daniel Craig's excellent films... Enjoy! I'm looking forward to seeing the new one sooner than later

good luck on your knee

Thank you! Yeah, I can live with moonraker, a view to a kill is the worst one in my eyes. And I may be the only person on the planet, but I liked License to Kill; although Wayne newton could have been left out!

Brosnan was always good, the movies around him may not have been. Goldeneye was the first one I got to see in theaters. Love that one, in my top three.

Bond is gettting pretty old isn't he? I can't wait for the last one where the cast Sean Connery in a tricked out wheel chair getting it on with all the women in the old folks home.

Missed the focus on this a bit, but it was the best one considering he kept moving in between the grass and leaves constantly on top of this being the first time he turned around to let me get his face before jumping in the water.

Thanks Dr. It was at the bottom of Little Cottonwood, I've seen goats there a lot. Look at my scribble on the map. The turn off is on little cottonwood road right before it merges with Wasatch blvd, if you haven't been there before there is a paved nature path.

the nifty 250 is seriously a money maker omggggggg love it. & with the toki, got some sweet UWA shots of the st. pete pier with epic clouds, sailboats, and a cruise ship! i took -3-2-1-0+1+2+3 exposure for HDR since i'm clueless & didn't want to miss the shot LOL. sometimes i do the full range.. still haven't combined any though.. haven't had time.

the 35mm f2.0 will arrive tomorrow =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

i really need a watermark & need to figure out how to host my images for sale... i've got my own domain & host ready, but IDK if I want to make my own shop or go zen/smug. no clue on their prices or anything, but i really need a watermark first.
