I never heard something like that with my copy. I'm the first owner though.

Thanks not what I wanted to hear, I haven't been out shooting much lately, and maybe used the lens 4 times since I got it. Think I might just sent it to sigma under warranty then

I have the same lens and 60D, haven't experienced that either.

Kevin! Wow shots!

You must've had a good weekend...

I came back from a week of intensive house hunting in Houston...

Pretty soon, bye bye NY...

Anyone know where I can host my pics with right click protection and the option to buy just a digital copy? While I'm out shootng I'll have random people ask me to snap a photo and send them a email. I ususally do it, but it's happening more often and I'd like to start making a bit of money for wear and tear on the shutter, lens cost, car, gas. Nothing big, just a bit of change inmy pocket, but if somone wanted a photo for their FB page or whatever I'm sure if I gave them a link where they could get a FB quality pic for 3-5 bucks I'm sure I could start making enough money for gas on my outings. Also, a free hosting site that only charges you a percentage based on what was sold. Anything like that?

So I'm considering selling my Nifty Fifty. I love it, but I just don't use it that much. I'd like to get a nice really wide angle and a telephoto someday but I can't be spending that much money. bah I'm frustrated.

I rarely use mine as well but the resell value is so low that I'd rather just hang on to for those rare instances that I may use it.
They sell for about $90 used here so not really worth the trouble of selling them.

Often I'll take the nifty fifty on a photo walk. I always feel very satisfied, meeting the challenge of shooting only one prime, making interesting angles, new points of view. Totally, on spur of the moment, improvisation.

Last time I used it for a friend's children's concert, I swore I'd never do it again with this lens (uncertain focusing in low light).

I'd never give it up though...

The only reason I would sell the 1.8 is to get a 1.4. Way too versatile of a lens to not have in the arsenal.

I REALLY want a wide angle and it will certainly be my next lens purchase. I may buy some more lighting first though. Not sure yet.

Hi Lisa, I've seen you around the tamron 24-70mm VC thread. Did you bought it already?

I was going to til I saw the onion bokeh. LOL

Onion bokeh happens on every copy and that's the only thing stopping me from getting it. I am in love with bokeh as you can tell and I really really dislike onion bokeh, let me stress that some more, GO AWAY ONIONS. I know it can be fixed in PP but I don't have time to sit and fix every single one of them. It's more of a personal thing but I rather not have them in my photos. I was actually thinking of saving up for the 24-70 II but probably not...as I don't use any mid range and like it. lol

I'm more of a 50mm and on type of shooter. I feel awkward getting the normal shots.
