I use this 1:
https://play.google.com …3Ddslr+controller+android (external link)

it has tons of great features, they frequently update, and your tablet and phone can work together so that your phone can wirelessly control the tablet.

I wish I would of known of that before lol

When seeing that the 6D had wifi, the remote seems like a really great and convenient feature.

It really is since my flip screen is gone :/

I gotta say 50mm on a full frame camera has a whole different meaning to me.

Thank God that Photobucket will let you switch back to the previous version of their site or I probably wouldn't have bothered to post these.

Not that you couldn't have lived without them.

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

I'm going to pull the trigger on a new camera. I'm have a really hard time deciding between the 6D and the Sony NEX 7. Alex is making it an even harder decision for me. I think the NEX will be the best for my lanscape shots, and it would save my back not having to lug heavy gear on hikes. The 6D has advantages for most of the other things though, and I love the eos app for wifi. It's so hard to decide!!!!

I'll probably keep my 60D either way though.

Dope shot, congrats on getting the 6d, if I hadn't gotten a good deal on a 5d II, I would be getting one. Can't wait to see your shots!

That's PRICELESS! As a long time Pentax user, the ending was a hilarious surprise. Thanks! :D

Have you looked at Olympus OM-D EM-5? Lens selection is much wider on the micro four thirds systems and the autofocus on it is much better than Nex 7 in low light. Plus 5-axis IBIS on OM-D is fantastic. I will be buying OM-D shortly. E-PL5 is the other one I am considering too since it is a bit more compact but does not have EVF and IBIS is 3-axis. Just another option to consider...

Yes, I've done a lot of research I think the NEX is better for me. Sigma and Tamron are making lenses now and Sony is coming out with more lenses so I don't think that will be a problem. It's just the decision of a new FF or mirror-less, I do a lot of trail running/hiking so I think I'm leaning that way a little.

This is.... beautiful! Considering how young this thing is, it's some "barely legal" gear porn! Congratulations, and as others mentioned, looking forward to see how the FF can make your images even more fantastic. Also great to hear that you'll make full recovery.

Nope. Same so I had a fresh charged one lol. I took a few shots but no adobe camera raw and DNG converter for 6d yet so I cant process them :( First thing I noticed is that the shutter is sooooo quiet. I like that a lot.

Here some taken with the 60d

did you play with the clarity slider in lightroom 4? if not i would bump that one up to around 20 or 25 and if that doesnt quite do it i would take it to 30 or 40 :)

I've had my 60D for about 6 months now and it's given me remarkable service. Until the last couple weeks. ?!

Today, for the second time, I've picked the camera up, attempted to turn it on and found the battery completely drained. Dead as a mackerel. No beeps, whirs, clicks...nada! Both times the camera had probably 60% battery left, was unused maybe 5 or 6 days and then there's not enough juice left to power it up. Previously, with light usage, I've gone weeks at a time between battery recharging.

Any suggestions of how to possibly determine if it's something wonky with the camera or maybe just a flakey battery? It's the original battery shipped new with the camera. The camera's never been dropped, bumped or booted around or even exposed to rain. I don't think I've even had the lens off it more than 3 or 4 times since I've only got the kit lens for it so far.

The battery is on the charger presently and I'll put it back in tomorrow morning and see if it still acts up again in a day or two.

just picked it up at best buy. woot!

patiently waiting your review sir because man i might be swayed there are a few things about the 600d i dont like but there are lots of things i dont like about the (specs) of the 6D but that all might not even be an issue if it turns out like the 60d and rock the socks off the crap paper specs and turns out to be a diamond in the rough!

quiet is good but the hard part for me on both the 6d and 600d is the 1/4000 shutter sync that is going to be hard to deal with i shot 1/8000 frequent enough to miss it.
