thanks Mirco. I will look into that.
Lisa, will that ballhead compatible with our herrington base plate? or you'll just plug another plate into the herrington plate?
Well I actually wanted to move over to the Arca Swiss design so I don't use the Herringbone Base plate, if you check out the L bracket from RRS you will need a different type of ball head + plate to use it but one of the perks of it is that it accepts the hand strap!
RRS L Plate (you can see where the hand strap goes): http://reallyrightstuff.com …te-for-5D-Mk-III%2c-Rev-A
I think the Herringbone plate is a RC2 design which is meant to be used with Manfrotto and the rest that don't have Arca Swiss type plates.

i'm thinking also of the 35mmL but way expensive, is the sigma version comparable to the 35L?
The Sigma is actually a bit better compared by the pixel peepers (you know I'm one) but I had the 35L ..my only reason for returning it and swapping was cause of the CA I developed with it. Made me go wtf. Here is a link of the tests between the 35L and the Sigma 35:

I love the 35mm FL on the FF sensor, my portraits are just fun to do! Now I won't say that no lens doesn't suffer the CA problem wide open but I think the Sigma shows it a lot less which is what I want. I was able to return my lens 35L brand new so I got back $400 at the least and will still have a 35mm FL to use and a few extra cash towards new gear.

Thanks Mirco.... more lens to come.....

especially that 17-40 of yours.

After shooting events indoors with my flash and diffuser, i don't feel the need of a 2.8 especially that I need to make sure everyone is in focus in a group shots.
if i wanna do candid, the 70-200 f4 at full zoom will give me blurred background too.
Happy Birthday to you as well, didn't know it was your birthday. O_O
