Kinda cool that one of my photos was featured on BorrowLenses.com blog for "Featuring Your Best: Pet Photography"
It was one of their "top 3 awesome photos of your pets"
It's the middle photo on this blog http://www.borrowlenses.com/blog/?p=2553&preview=true (external link)

Marc, this is great. Her skin is unbelievable!

I am ambivalent about the composition. The classic rule would have her look into the photo, possibly requiring a wider FOV to accommodate the hair and some negative space.

On the other hand, she is not looking directly at the camera, which justifies her looking out of the frame.

In the end, this holds my attention longer, making it a more successful photo!

I wish I had the cash to purchase even an older Macbook Pro! I'd rather put the money towards upgrading my desktop and buying a 5D mark 3 :D

i agree - i actually cropped it pretty heavy - her shoulder just looked massive compared to her face so i just did a tight crop on the face

composition isn't really my strong point right now - i just started photographing this year and so much information is just coming at me at once haha.

i saw the video and i was like sweet the macpros finally got an update! - when i looked at the website i was thinking on jumping on the 13" retina display with the same price

and then i actually view it and see its only 15" and costs 2200...

cant justify buying a laptop for that much...

nah, i won't be. i have a macbook pro now, 2009? maybe and it's still chugging along although it's a bit sluggish with LR4 which is sort of disappointing. i'm actually looking at changing up to an iMac since i've never really taken my mbp out of the house...

Yeah Tod, congratulations!

I have to confess that I got lost in Marc's photo! Beautiful women catch my attention a lot easier than award-winning cats...

I have a 2008 24" iMac... maxes out at 4gb ram. :( So I'm really thinking about taking the plunge. :)
