holy sheet you should have just gotten a prime account and paid 3.99 to have it to you the next day i mean yeah you would have initially spent more on prime but you get so much in return and holy sheet 26 bucks wow. but you will enjoy it it will be a major upgrade from the 60d and will give you 2 more af points and a few other really awesome features that you will enjoy! sadly i think i should have gone that route too but i am not regretting my pre order for the d7100 hehe

lol, yeah I know... $26 was stupid, but I was eager to play. I should have checked out Prime, I was trying to figure out what one-day shipping would be with Prime but couldn't find it and I didn't want to have to remember to cancel it in 30 days or whatever the trial was. Impatience got the better of me today. :p Actually, I should have just gone with the free shipping. I usually get my Amazon orders in just a few days anyways. I fail.

FYI you should get a prime account and all items ordered and shipped from amazon or fulfilled by amazon will be free 2 day shipping and all one day shipping items that fit in the same category are a $3.99 upgrade to one day plus you get tons of free books and book lending from the book store and basically a netflix style movie streaming (most all you can find on netflix is there.) and tons of other free features built into the membership.

Random thought, just noticed that I really need a new profile pic... I don't really look like that since I shaved my head a few weeks ago.

Congrats Erich....

Men I'm soooo tired. I took photographed of about 480 students plus 2 group shots of every class.

My lower back got stressed out because I had to bend down to those small kids. I can't use the tripod because I need to be mobile. Now I have lots to pp. Picture looks good except it's all green screen. I have to extract all. Others were with blue screen coz they're wearing green clothes. Good thing my portable green screen has two sides. the other is blue.

The raw looks good though and looks like there's enough orders.

thanks for all the encouragement guys. You helped me a lot in deciding on doing this. love you all.

I used the 24-105 only in this project because of the group shots. i don't wanna be changing lens in between because the time is not so friendly to us.

sorry to hear about the pain but im proud of you bro! you stepped up and out of your comfort zone and did an amazing job! i look forward to hearing what you were able to make when its all done and said!

how did your flash issue turn out? and was it the sleep mode? or something else?

Again Vinz im rreally proud of you brother! cheers for chasing your dream!

nice welcome back photos mike! hows life!

i suspect we wont see Vinz for a week or two with all those photos he has to edit LOL. Vinz if you are a mac user id recommend batch process work in aperture 3 and using Nik software to handle some of the editing then exporting into lightroom or photoshop to work out the remainder since most will be so much easier to batch edit in aperture then in lightroom im still trying to figure out a good way to batch edit in light room.

Thanks Russ! Life has been busy. New job has definitely gobbled up the free time i previously had, but it's nice to not hate my job anymore.

I see everyone bought a new camera while I was away? haha

Thanks man, she's my cougar ;) lol I think I took 600 pics on vacation, but that was the one I took and even on the little screen I knew everything came together (minus the slightly tilted horizon). This was at my buddy's wedding in Mexico. The wedding photographer was a total dick, and was totally ignorant to everyone the whole time. Someone you could tell didn't enjoy what he did as he went through the standard cheesy wedding shots. I only took a few shots for them but I liked the feeling I got from this one:
