Great shots D! I really wanted to get fireworks shots this year as Pittsburgh puts on one of the best shows, but the recluse in me would rather sit at home by a fire and avoid hours worth of traffic.

This!! There are at least 2 shows I know of "near" me in Seattle (pretty sure my cousin is helping pyro with one of them) but it's just not worth the aggravation of getting there. I only found out about my cousin's show last night, though, so next year maybe I'll plan ahead to get to that.

So, without any fireworks for today, I guess I'll have to go searching for a flag if I get down into the city this afternoon.

In the meantime, another demo from the Tamron 60mm Macro. LOVE this lens:

I don't like to go back to the place where they show fireworks last year, it's very crowded. took us about two hours before we got out of the place.

so i'll just post-up from last year's fireworks.

all the better if you had a thick Scottish accent sounding like Shrek and yelled over "Shut Up, Donkeh!"

Thanks, guys! I figure it shows progress in my 365 project when even the old "photo of my cat" standby turns into something different. :)

Snafu, congrats on the "disappearance" of the donkey, those are some seriously noisy critters!

And for the current contest, a flag:

Which lens did you use here and did you apply any correction in post, normally a shot like that and you would pick up something in the bricks, it looks great!
