Thankfully my 28-105 came with a free UV filter.. it's covered in firework ash!

WORTH IT!

Filmed the neighborhood show in 1080.. like 1 hr worth. papapapapapapabOOOOOOO​OOOOM!

Sounds like you might have seen it already, but I used the 24-105mm for this. 93mm focal length, so there wasn't a huge amount of distortion to deal with, but I did use the auto-correction option in LightRoom for what little there was.
