I'm having an issue Focusing with Portorits. I can easy have a friend take a picture of me, But my goal is to be able to do it myself. I have a tripod set up. I did the Manual Focus option by Manually focusing on something ie Magazine or Hanger. It worked, But my Face is out of Focus all the time it seems, Meanwhile the outer part of me is in focus (Ear, shirt & outter Hair). My settings are below as to what ive experienced with. I deleted the picture set so i hope my explanation does Justice. If anyone can help & possibly recommend a good setup for shooting Portraits that would be nice. I know different lighting equals different Settings, But just looking for some Basic Setup settings.

Manual Mode
Custom WB
Auto/Portrait Picture Style
AI Servo
AF Point: Center
ISO 200
f5.6 - f11
1/150 - 1/250
Spot / Partial

Why AI Servo.. i thought you were manually focusing? Use one-shot AF, not AI Servo for portraits.

I did a Auto Focus test as well. changing it to One Shot didn't really do anything though. I guess my issue is getting my face in focus, which i succeed about 3 out of 10 Shots lol.

How far away is the camera? At f/5.6 to f/11 you should have plenty of DOF (4-5 ft) at normal distances. Is your camera set up too close?

This.

Let's assume you're about 6ft away for a portrait at 50mm on a 600d... at f5.6 you should be getting about 1ft total dof... if you're standing exactly where the magazine was then that should be enough.

If you were to just take a picture of the magazine was that perfectly in focus?
