A friend has just gotten engaged and is organising her wedding in Bangalore, India.

As the in-house 'photography expert' (despite not knowing which direction to point a camera at a wedding - I'm a landscape photographer!) I've been tasked with finding a photographer for the ceremony and reception.

Does anyone know of any good, reputable wedding photographers there, especially those with websites and examples?

Thanks

For the right price, I could be there. I spent a month there in 2008 and am familiar with the area and have shot several South Asian weddings.

I am specifically looking for someone local to the area, as my friend does not wish to fly anyone in for it.

Thanks, though!

Have flown to India three times now to photograph weddings. If they cant find anyone I'm up for it :)

I'm an Indian wedding photographer.

Anyways I can ask around for you.

I'm aware of several of them, but you need to freeze on budget. CuspConcepts are priced very competetive but their work reveals that, if you have good set of eyes. There are other individuals who charge more than a lakh ($2000) for wedding and reception only and certainly the product is amazing.

Also you need to decide if you want it from the association, who would charge for their taxes etc or a free lancer.

BTW I have recently made it my 'side job' and should be ready in a year for a paid shoot :-) I have shot several unpaid ones, for my relatives, but paid ones ...yet to take up :-)

550D gripped I Sigma 50mm F1.4 (Non Art) I Canon 100mm F2.0 I Nissin Di622 Mk II I YN 622C triggers I...and few other accessories
