If you know a way I can see how the setup would work, please share. I've been trying to locate a diagram with no luck. This is part of the process of not ordering blindly and trying to figure out what I'm dealing with, thanks.
What I am getting at is that once you see the kind of lightstand attachment point that is an integral part of the Alien Bee, you will immediately see what will and will not fit the corresponding attachment point on the current lightstand, and what needs to be removed or replaced to get the two to fit! Here is what the Bee's lightstand fitting looks like
and here is a compatability description from Buff web site:
"Light Stands: Each AlienBees™ flash unit must be securely mounted to a light stand for use. The stand mount on each AlienBees™ unit is compatible with most standard light stands having top couplers up to 5/8-inch
. The AlienBees™ B400, B800 and B1600 models may all be used on our Paul C. Buff LS1100, LS3050, LS3900 and TS13AC light stands as well as our MBA Baby Boomer™ "
...so does your light stand allow you to configure it with a suitable top fitting, up to 5/8"?n (see stud adapter detail in this link)http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ages&Q=&sku=609055&is=REGhttp://www.bhphotovideo.com …_Female_Threaded_3_8.html
... we know it has some means of attaching a speedlight, but no idea of brand and model!
