Does anyone have the link to the canon website that has the refurbished DSLRs?

I went to the Canon store and for some reason the SLRs are not listed there.

I was gonna get a T4i, but I thought about it and going with an older model would be better seeing as I can spend the rest of the money on better glass.

Was thinking about a T2i but it seems kinda small, well compared to my 10D. I love the LCD on the top but I guess the T2i doesn't have that. Would I be better off getting a 50D instead? I just take photos for my website so I don't really need much.

If i go with the T2i I have seen them at best buy and allens for $500 for just the body or I can get a refurbished one for $500 that includes a 18-55 kit lens.

I think they are rebuilding the website. Check out the https://photography-on-the.net …ead.php?t=948785&page=270 link (Canon Loyalty Program).

Thanks! I guess that give me a little more time to do research. Hopefully they'll be a price drop since the T4i just came out :D

You can get a refurb 60D from Adorama for $800 with 18-55mm lens for $1000. Adorama provides a 12-month warranty as well as Free shipping. If you live outside of New York State, there is no sales tax charged.... If you buy from Canon, you pay shipping and whatever sales tax your state charges.

I would definitely opt for a 60D rather than a Rebel....

WHY - "You can get a refurb 60D from Adorama for $800 with 18-55mm lens for $1000."

The refurb under CLP is $639 for the body only plus taxes. Downside? The 60D was last shopwn as out of stock.

they have the refurb lenses link but not for the camera body. Hope this means they are going down in price and not going away completely!

60D body is now showing as $899 on the refurbished site, assuming I hit the right site with my phone browser.

That is correct but when you trade in some Canon product like a P&S you get an additional 20% off, bringing it down to about $640. It is called the Canon Loyalty Program (CLP). For the trade, some people have purchased a Canon camera for $10 to $15 at a garage sale, eBay, Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. and used that for the trade. Even if you have an old film P&S laying around it will be accepted.

The website for the CLP is https://photography-on-the.net …ght=CAnon+Loyalty+program. One thing is this is only done for US residents so treebound you qualify. If stock shows on the link for refurbished equipment then generally you can get it through CLP.

Someone starting investigating this last Friday and after calling Canon reported that the site for refurb cameras is being rebuilt and hence the reason it can't currently be found. The other thread is at https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1196783 and a GregoryF siad it will be up next week. So be patient.
