I am looking to purchasing a flash trigger although the Pocket Wizard does come to mind, my wallet says hell no.

I came across this one http://www.adorama.com/FPXRK.html (external link) but although it's only $100, is this reliable? I have seen much cheaper flash triggers but am not familiar with them so not really interested in those since I don't know how good they are. Wanted to know if people have used this or has better insights on flash triggers. I have also been researching on radio popper which seems to be at $170 (not including shipping and tax) on its site, guessing it may be at $210 just a guess not accurate.

Will the $100 trigger do fine? I currently have speedotron 1604 brownline. Any help is really appreciated.

What about Cybersyncs? You can occasionally pick up a set on the for sale forum for a reasonable price.

Are those reliable? And do they last?

Search the threads here. Cybersyncs are well regarded and recommended.

The new Pocket Wizard III is selling for about $130, and the (now older but very proven ) model II can be had for around $100 used, for a proven, reliable unit.
