I do not know exactly what I was expecting but I agree with you in that there is something lacking from these shots.

Looking for light in all the right places.

What were you expecting? They're web photos. Only thing lacking is that it isn't in my hands:lol:

For as small as the images are, they sure take a long time to load. They want to showcase the 1DX, but I clicked off after losing patience with the image loading. Professionals should be well aware of this type of turn-off. Photo-website basics 101.

It seems as if people are just looking to find faults with the 1Dx no matter what.

Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

Well, from those photos, what really inspires you to jump up and want to purchase the camera. I see nothing that grabs at me.

I never said that there was anything GREAT about those photos, but I also don't see that there is anything so BAD about them either.

I also wasn't just referring to those specific photos. I was speaking more in general in that it seems a lot of people will try and find any little type of fault whatsoever in the camera just to either nitpick, or make themselves sound so BIG AND IMPORTANT that they're putting down an expensive camera...esp since it's being delayed so long.

JMHO.

As far as the images posted, I agree that they're not mind blowing examples, but I'm sure those aren't the best samples of the kind of images the 1Dx is capable of.

Maybe the photographer just didn't have much action in his area of the field. (Besides, SOCCER isn't exactly an action packed sport for the most part. Again IMHO.)

*waits to get flamed.

This was an England match. Long periods of boredom interspersed with the occasional moment of excitement and even genius. Maybe it wasn't the photographer's fault if the subject matter didn't produce a constant stream of winning shots...

And I speak as a dedicated, but realistic, fan of English football. I could barely watch the last fifteen minutes or so of the Sweden game last night as it was so typical of my national team's game pattern - score, celebrate, fall asleep.

Well that's exactly my point, why would you showcase anything less than mind-blowing for the crown jewel of your lineup?
