I’m always a bit nervous when doing weddings at a private residence. In this case the wedding venue was beautiful!

A few images from the wedding below copied from my recent Blog site entries.

Enjoy

Austin:

It would have to write a book that describes camera, lighting, and post-processing techniques. So I did.

You can download the interactive iPad book from the iTunes store (I'm not promoting in this forum) ...

Thanks for the comments and feedback.

Private residence venues can be challenge. Usually not set up for an event such as a wedding. Estate size and lighting conditions are challenging. We got lucky on this one. Very nice gated community with a common area of good size and some nice shaded areas with trees and a water feature located in Fallbrook not far from our studio in southern California Wine Country. We still had issues but nothing we couldn’t find a solution. The venue looks rather large in the photos. It’s not. We needed to engage a fair amount of creativity with position and composition in order to give the illusion that we are in a large estate. Overall I’m very pleased at the results. A wonderful couple to work with. She was local to southern California. He was a rancher from Montana. Perfect for each other!
