I had hoped I could have bought a 24-70L II by now, but oh well.

I need a lens to travel with my 5DII, 85/1.8, and 135L.

Deciding between...

Canon 17-40L ($125 for 19 days)

or

Tamron 28-75 ($105 for 19 days)


Edit: Trip is to Germany for work. Mostly portraits with occasional landscape/group shots.


As for the 24-70L and Tamron 24-70 VC and 16-35LII: been there, done that.
