My first Fox shot. Critique welcome. Been trying to get a shot of these little fellas for sometime now. It was overcast and raining most of the day today but this one came out for a photo op :)

Fantastic fox and fantastic photo

One day I was walking on the street and somebody handed me a camera. I looked at them and said, "This is not a Canon, what do I look like? A charity case?" So I took it, and THREW IT ON THE GROUND!

Perfection for sure. The clarity and color is awesome...well worth the wait!

Nice fox pic for sure. Only thing I would do is crop it a little more. Lots of extra space in the pic the detracts from the fox itself.

I think the rain helped in this case, in taking a great photo.

I like the composition. Could just be that he's wet, but the subject looks a little soft compared to the sharpness of the foreground. Maybe a bit more DOF? Maybe slightly OOF?

Thank you so much all. I think that maybe the focus was off just a tad. But I personally like how the fox seems to look at you from any direction when you look at it. I was hoping to capture it a bit more forward on the pile as to not have as much grass in the image. I might crop it in a bit more as suggested by someone as well.

Thank you so much all for your comments. Appreciate the look.

Like the colours and the fox does looks a little to far ahead in the frame. Would like to see the photo cropped in closer removing some of the distracting background behind the fox IMO.

From your suggestions here is a better crop.

IMAGE: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8161/7408799668_1bfd8f2a24_c.jpg

Only thing is, it has lost some IQ in the crop. But I like the cropped down version better also. Less distracting.
