An interesting read thanks for posting but the 1DX compared to the 7D is a pointless comparison, the 1DX needs to stack up against Nikons finest, which I expect the monthlies will be doing soon enough.

inzite, we will get RAWs today. Comparison is not with 7D, I mean author had 7D, I know this camera should compare with Nikon finest + better than 5D Mark III.

If you have any ideas which tests or shoots to make, please let me know ASAP, there is 2 hours gap before next Euro 2012 game, where we will have 500mm + 1D X in our hands.

Thanks.

Really appreciate your efforts here,

Definitely need to do some test with raw. Preferably from iso 1600 all the way up to the max (iso 200,000?). AF performance against a backlit situation would be great as well...

Guys just to make little notice, NR is Off on sample photos that we posted.
Sharpen was on 4 from possible 7.

in that case, from the ISO 2000 sample, the performance seems spectacular compared to a 5D2

How is it at regular ISO's? (100-800).

Also, in those examples, the colors look a little "flat". They're not very "vibrant", and don't really "pop" off the screen. Maybe it's just how the weather, and lighting was, but I'd like to see some nice, vibrant, bold, saturated, eye popping, almost 3D like colours. They also don't look very crystal clear. They look as if they were taken through a dirty window. They're not "crystal clear", or "glass like".

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the camera by any means. I'd just like to see some examples of the camera's dynamic range capabilities, and some nice, crystal clear, sharp, vibrant, bold, eye popping colors.

Yes, RAW files at higher ISO would be much appreciated, especially at 6400, 12800, and 25600.

Ok, guys, just be little more patient, I will put all up, and write new article about ISO and AF responsiveness ...

I will post all settings from camera, will update you as soon as I upload all and write article, tomorrow.

In mean while you can check 400mm f/2.8 L IS USM II, on Face.

Fixed It...

Wanna know what would impress? Show a rip of twenty frames in a row, all in focus. I know the 1DX can do it because I've seen it elsewhere.
