Just wanted to hear others thoughts & input on this. And anwser a few questions.

Is this a good deal for me? it would cost $240 for the year to have CS6. Or it will cost me $700 to buy it, and then $200 to upgrade it whenever CS7 comes out?

Has anyone here on POTN purchased a subscription or know someone who has? it seems like a good idea and fits my needs.

Also Does it have all the features as if I purchased it? And does anyone know if it the extended version or standard?? I did read on Adobe's website, but seems they left a lot of details out.

Thanks everyone in advance, I do appreciate your help & time.

I signed up for the subscription for the full collection.

I had Photoshop CS6 already but really wanted to add Premiere Pro and After Effects and doing the calculations of buying those two new applications and upgrading the coming years I came to the conclusion that I would benefit from the subscription plan.

With following assumptions:
- adobe upgrades every second year and I would buy the upgrade every time
- prices would not change significantly

the first 8 years it is cheaper with the subscription, after that buying individual applications/upgrades would be cheaper. However who knows what happens in the next 8 years. Also a benefit of the subscription according to Adobe is that you get new functionality as soon as it is ready instead of having to wait until a full release.

Based on that I subscribed and I am actually looking forward to learning other applications in the collection.

ps I just wrote a little blog entry with my calculations (in danish kroner sorry): http://tommykjensen.blogspot.dk …adobe-creative-cloud.html (external link)

Thank you all for responding, I read all the links, they were very helpful.........Tommy, your link opens in English for me, I guess it gets translated somewhere along the way.

I am going to go for only the Photoshop CS6 annual subscription, like you said it will be cheaper the first 8 years, and who knows what can/will happen in that time.

It will cost me $20/month, thats $240/year, and I get all upgrades when they are released. Instead of Paying $700 now, and $200 for the upgrades.

Thanks again all

Ahhh, you meant just the prices were in danish. It was a great write sir, thank you!!

I agree with you, if you own previous versions already, it is cheaper to keep buying the upgrades, if you do not, like me, the subscription is a great option.

I am downloading as we speak
